• My blog displays with no problems in Chrome and Firefox, but there are huge issues in IE 6 and below. The layout is all over the place – sidebar is messed up, comments form stretches the length of the page, etc.

I did have a lot of posts that were pasted in from Word, but I have done a very thorough job of stripping out all of the offending tags, and have double-checked to make sure. I was hoping that would solve the problem, but it hasn’t.

What am I missing? Any help would be much appreciated.

Older versions of IE also seem to have trouble with my comments form. I’m using a .png image as the background for the comments – see here – so that e.g. the ‘holes’ in the ‘paper’ appear transparent, with the background of my page showing through. IE doesn’t seem to be able to render this transparency – it just shows a block of grey colour behind the image (and also behind the stars above it, which again are set to have a transparent background).
These problems are giving me a lot of headaches…

    Anyone?

    Hi,

The issue occurs when you copied some text directly from MS Word to WP WYSIWYG text editor using windows cut and paste options. Some unfriendly code is also added there.
