Sitemap includes deleted posts

    Hi, I noticed my sitemaps includes deleted pages. They show up in the sitemap as “URL__trashed”. Of course, these pagess return a 404 error and I get an increasing number of 404 pages when I look up in Google Search Console.
    How can I solve this issue?

    Getting the Index Coverage Issue message on Google Search Console. I’m seeing an old URL for a page that’s changed categories years ago, and thus also changed URL. This page should be in the sitemap with the new URL. So I think it’s not just deleted pages, but also pages with changed URLs. Maybe the plugin doesn’t refresh or purge existing URLs properly?

    Very old (2011) deleted entries or author.
