Can’t add any images – Add media button not working after last install

    Please help! I’ve been trying to figure out why I’m unable to add any images after the most recent upgrade. The Add Media button is disabled and I’m not able to drag images into my posts either.

    This is the error that I found in my error log:

    PHP Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home2/mkukuc/public_html/livelikenooneelse.com/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php54/lib/php’) in /home2/mkukuc/public_html/livelikenooneelse.com/wp-settings.php on line 19

    I’ve tried everything. From restoring a backup to doing a fresh reinstall, etc. Been working on this for several days and researching and nothing seems to work.

    Seems to be some WordPress core files is missing. Please reupload the wp-admin and wp-incudes folder and its files.

    (Please use correct wordpress version files)

    (Pleas keep a backup of both files and database)

    I’ve also tried with the most current version…I’ve deleted that and tried even with the last version. I’m at my wits end!

    Hi Everyone, I’m having this problem too media icon won’t work for images into posts, but featured image works OK, anyone know??? Cheers Sean.

    I’ve just reuploaded both wp-admin and wp-includes folders for the 4th time and i’m still not able to add images.

    Please help!

    So I deleted everything and reinstalled, AGAIN. This time when I did I received a message saying that there is a “conflict with another plugin overwriting JQUERY”. I will now try to disable all plugins individually to see if that may be the problem.

    Well, I deactivated all of my plugins and it’s still doing the same thing.

    Anyone else know what could be going on??

    I changed my theme to a different theme. Seems like my theme wasn’t compatible with the newest version of wordpress. Problem solved!
