Registration form is prefilling some fields; date is not current

  • 2 issues with Ultimate Member registration form

    1) some of the form fields are prefilled. It’s driving me crazy.
    I don’t know where the data is coming from. No matter how i edit the field properties, the user sees some of my own data prefilled.

    2) when i first set this up, i believe the registration date was by default the current day; now it seems stuck on a particular date (which i just made uneditable to see what actually gets generated). Is that field supposed to be the current day? Also, Besides month, day and year, it also shows time. ???

    Hi @pfsoto,

    Is it possible to attach the screenshots of this issue so we can better understand this issue?
    Please try to do a conflict test and see if this issue goes away.
    Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Hi @pfsoto,

    Please check “Default Value” for your fields on your registration form in Ultimate member -> Forms -> your registration form.
    It looks like you’ve added default values to your username/firstname/lastname fields.

    No i didn’t. Default fields are blank. That’s the first thing i played with when i discovered this issue. I even tried filling the field with spaces; to no avail.

    Another thing i noticed: other of my (admin) personal info, like name, profile pic, and profile banner are all assigned to members with author role.
    Ultimate member is picking up my info and using it as defaults, and i can’t tell where it’s coming from. The avatar/gravatar in the admin bar is the default avatar i set up with WP User Avatar.
    if i have to change the php, what should that field be? (I can’t write php, but i can change it.)

    fwiw – separate but related issue?: in admin bar, when i right-click on the avatar/gravatar space (this example is for an author), i get this for ‘inspect element’: (notice the user avatar doesn’t appear here; it’s the default)
