Merge tags in custom url

Hi,

I would like to be able to use merge tags within the custom url for editing the gravity forms as per below but it doesnt seem to work?

Custim url: https://mysite.com/user/{user:user_login}/?profiletab=tabone

Is this possible using a hook of some kind, thanks
