Copy gallery settings

    I have daily posts in my blog and every post contain gallery of the photo events. For now I have more the 50 galleries created. Interface of the gallery interface should be the same, but for me it’s really hard to configure interface settings every day to make every gallery looks the same. If you accept new features request would be nice to have copy gallery function in your plugin. Do you have plans to create it ? Maybe you can suggest me some easy way to save template of the gallery design and use it in new copies of the gallery in my daily posts.

    Sorry, for some delay with reply.

    For now we don’t have copy gallery function, but we have implemented alternative feature for such case, as you describe with your gallery.
    We have clone gallery function which implement inherited settings of the selected gallery from source gallery which selected as parent item for the current gallery item.
    This functionality implemented in smart mode, so you don’t need to do any special gallery customization of the clone function. When you open gallery settings you’ll see clone block on top of the gallery settings. When you select source item for the settings the rest of the configurations will be cloned from the source gallery. You just need to upload images and configure all image fields in gallery media manager section.
    One important note it’s cache function, make sure that you disable gallery cache when you configure galleries. Open gallery settings and on top of the settings list you can find gallery cache block where you can enable or disable cache for the current gallery item.
    When you enable cache of the gallery you need to make sure that you already finished configuration. It’s better to enable gallery cache after configuration of the interface and all required settings.
