Dashboard Search

  • Hello,

    We are randomly having a problem with our backend dashboard search. When we search for posts, it includes not only posts but also pages and events that we have on our site. Basically, it is not differentiating posts from pages, etc…

    It seems like a WP file issue but I do not know much outside of theme structure.

    Does anyone know what could be causing this or have any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

    When you go to Posts, there is a post search box on the top right corner. Do you use the box or something else to search?

    As a default, WordPress search within posts if you use the Post search.

    It could be possible you have a plugin that searches both posts and pages. You can check by going to Plugins < Installed Plugins, and look for a plugin that related to search.

    If there is one, deactivate and see if that helps.
