WordPress with Static HTML Squeeze Page

  • Hi,

    I want to set up a site with WP in the root and also have a static (non-wordpress) squeeze page (home page) to utilize some very nice opt-in graphics templates.

    How do I do this?

    Why not use a static homepage for WP?

    Because I have some very nice templates for squeeze pages that I would like to use and don’t want the other blog-type info on the squeeze page.

    Again … why not use a static homepage? You can make a template to keep all the other blog-type info off and use THAT as your WP front page.

    Thanks… I’ll take a closer look but I didn’t think the static homepage would let me use a completely different page as one of my purchased graphic templates would be.

    I appreciate your input.

    Check out the info on Page templates on the Pages page in the Docs. It might help clarify a bit.

    Thanks – I checked it out but that will still make it look like the WP theme. The html page that I want as my home/squeeze page is totally different from the blog theme… and intentionally so.

    Hey maybe this will help out!

    I use this it create a squeeze page in WordPress and even have how to videos on how to create your own squeeze pages within WordPress click on the link on the link at the bottom of this post
    to see the video- how easy it is.
    Plus you can create mini sites using the word press as a platform..
    Its great!
    I use this on my blog as well..and I LOVE it.
