I clicked on connect account button, the linkedin authorization page shows up, but when I confirm connection, it redirect to https://northernbeacheswebsites.com.au/redirectlinkedin/ and go back to my own site without any changes.

    A message keep displaying:
“An error occured, the error reported by LinkedIn is: 401 Empty oauth2_access_token”

    What happend?

    Hi @pesseba,

That message can display temporarily during the authentication process. Do you see your profile/companies on the next tab?

    If not, try authenticating again.

I have released an update (v6.1) which removes this temporary error message when first authenticating. The error is not a real problem to the general functionality of the plugin but it can cause concern when authenticating for the very first time. Thanks,

    Hi

I have loaded V6.1 and I am still unable to re-authenticate the plugin.

I end up with a white page and ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED.

I have forwarded the screen shots showing the process

If you could help would be greatly appreciated

    Many thanks

I’m with you at the same problem here.

    Hi Pesseba

V6.2 released, now I have no selections available in Profile Selection, and so no connection to my website. Maybe you’ll have better luck with V6.2

I have tested the plugin on a few servers and sites now and I can’t repeat these issues. I suggest reauthenticating the plugin again.

    Hi,
I updated the plugin, the error message now is: Something went wrong, please try again later or if the issue persists please create a support ticket.

The problem seems when your application try to connect with my linkedin account. After the process, your app has no authorization in “Permitted Services” of my account. the problem seems when your application try to connect with my linkedin account. What app name I must to search in Linkedin Permitted Services?

    These errors still trigger too:

@northernbeacheswebsites I solved the problem here.

First, I installed the plugin in another wp environment. So, the plugin connect right and added your app in my Linkedin account on Permitted Services (WP Auto Publish).

So, I copy the ‘wp_options’ database setting from the second site to the first one (with problem), just to check if the plugin will let me connect with these new settings.

    wp_linkedin_autopublish_auth_settings
    wp_linkedin_autopublish_settings

I don’t know what fixed the problem. If was the database refresh or the fact that linkedin list your app now. I think it was the last one…

So I back to my first site and tried again, and the connection works! The permission page isn’t shows up, just your app page redirect appear during the validation process. https://northernbeacheswebsites.com.au/redirectlinkedin/?code=…

I still not tested in a real publish situation…

Hi pesseba, I am glad you got it working, for 99.99% of people the setup isn’t that difficult so I am not sure why you were running into issues, but glad it’s working ok.

    Hi,

We have the same issue after upgrading to version 6.
If you press connect with LinkedIn we go the page of Northern Beaches Websites and we return back to the Connect Tab.
But publishing jobs to our company page doesn’t work anymore.
We get the message “succesfully posted”, but no timestamp is available and nothing is shared on LinkedIn.
Also in the overview of jobs the status first changes to “Shared” and than goes back to “Not shared Share now”.
The last updates which were succesfull were with version 5.26…

    Kind regards,
    Hans.

You are probably not authenticated! Do you see your companies and profile in the plugin settings? If not you are not authenticated. Please try authenticating again. Make sure you are using the latest version of the plugin. Any further issues please create your own thread and show screenshots and also the diagnostic information we ask for in the help section of the plugin!

@northernbeacheswebsites I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
