Blog comment checkbox not showing

    Is there any steps to get the GDPR blog checkbox to show. For some reason it does not show on the page but wont submit the comment as it needs to be checked. Ive used inspect and its not a CSS problem, it isnt on the page at all.

    Is there a way to add the checkbox in?

    Thanks for the reply Kim,
    Is there any way disable the GDPR comment checkbox if it isn’t compatible with my site.

    Sorry i am unable to link to the site currently so i wont be able to provide much information.
    Currently we use a template which pulls in a custom comments php file which is the template for inserting comments for blog posts.

    Ryan,

    I have to disappoint you. We work with the WordPress comments.
    You’re saying that you use some custom stuff, so I’m afraid that it will not work.

    Thanks for the response,

    I meant hooking the comment form in to the new GDPR checkbox on posts. Sorry for the bad explanation.

    I achieved this just by adding in the comments.php in my custom theme

    <p class="gdpr">
   <input id="gdpr" name="gdpr" type="checkbox">
   <label for="gdpr">This form collects your name, email and content so that we can keep track of the comments placed on the website. For more info check our privacy policy where you'll get more info on where, how and why we store your data.</label>
</p>
