NextGen Buy Now Not working

nazmul – I’ve figured out how to get the buy now buttons working. at first i was using the WP media manager to insert the images from the next gen galleries at first and when i did that, no buy now button. however, if i use the nextgen shortcodes directly (e.g. [singlepic=52] or [gallery=12] it seems to work fine.

also, don’t add currency to the price fields (e.g. no $ signs or what have you) when you edit the price in the gallery.

I’m interested to know, though, if anyone has figured out how to make the Buy Now feature into a “add to cart” feature instead. I’ve been looking around a bit and haven’t found anything yet. Anyone?

Buy Now v1.1.0
Shopping Cart 3.6.12

I’ve tried downgrading WP to 2.6.5, but I get the “Sorry, NextGEN Buy now works only in combination with NextGEN Gallery” error message.

What versions of WP and Buy Now are you using?

i’m using the same setup you’ve got. I wish I could tell you what the magic secret was, but i don’t know! the thing seems to be largely a mystery.

I installed and activated the shopping cart and the buy now plugins. As I mentioned above, it wasn’t working for a bit, but then i realized that i needed to use the nextgen shortcodes themselves instead of inserting from the WP media manager. so long as my NGgallery items have a number in the price field, they show up.

that said, turns out this plugin was more than i needed – so I went with the quickshop plugin instead.

But I’m assuming you were able to activate both plugins… yes? Maybe it’s a conflict with another plugin in your setup? Have you tried deactivating everything but ecommerce, buy now, and next gen to see if you can get it working then?

Many thanks for your prompt reply. I installed quickshop in the end and fiddled with it so it now integrates with NextGen Gallery so I’m very happy.

I think the problem with BuyNow runs much deeper than anything I’m capable of fixing; the developers at Instinct really ought to release an update as lots of people seem to be waiting for one.

hey if anuone can help me regarding integrating next-gen gallery with an wp shop paypal shop cart pluginn
my problem is that when i using gallery with an shopcart the add to cart button is not displayed on any page here i am using the sort code
[wp_cart:Villa:price:$20900:end] this tag to show the button add to cart but this is not working….
here i am using wp V2.9 and shop cart plugin V2.7 and next-gen gallery V1.4.3
Is there something i need to do extra?

I can’t find the Next-Gen Gallery Buy Now plugin anywhere. Instinct.co.nz has a post about it but the link doesn’t work. Anyone have a copy to share????

hey i want only a link to view the shopping cart on the next page as now it shows sidebar view shopping cart when i am going to add my product to the cart it imnstantly shows the view shop caret with updated product but i only want to show a link that could not display as soon as we add a product when we click on
