    Hi,

    I’ve just installed

Category to Pages WUD, Version 2.4.6

    on WP 4.9.6.

    In its settings, I’ve set

Add categories to pages -> Enable Unique Page Categories

    I’ve created a Page Category,

    	Name: About
    	Slug: about

I’ve created a Page, “Intro”, setting its PageCategory -> “About”

    At WP’s ‘Permalink Settings’

    	https://example.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php

    I’ve set

    	'Common Settings'
    	...
    	[X] Custom Structure
    		https://example.com [ /%category%/%postname%/ ]
    	...

BUT, the page is assigned a Permalink of

    Permalink: https://example.com/intro/

    and appears in browser at

    https://example.com/intro/

    NOT at the expected/intended

    https://example.com/about/intro/

Posts, assigned standard WP post categories, correctly use/appear at the

    .../%category%/%postname%/

    path.

Meh, can’t edit a prior post!

    So, to finish …

What am I missing so as to get the Permalinks working WITH the Page category?

    Hello,
Thank you for using my plugin!
    Did you read our manual?
    https://wud-plugins.com/home/category-to-pages-how-to-use/

    This is described there:
Disable ‘Page Category/tag’ in the URL (5)
When Categories/Tags are not unique and WordPress permalink is set to: /%category%/%postname%/
If activated: You can edit the page URL (WordPress standard).
If not activated: A page URL name contains the hard coded page category and is not Editable.

Means that the permalink /%category%/%postname%/ is ONLY valid by using the same categories for pages as it is for posts.

    Regards,
    Danny

    Did you read our manual?

Yep, several times. And it was, to me, obviously NOT clear.

    OTOH, this

Means that the permalink /%category%/%postname%/ is ONLY valid by using the same categories for pages as it is for posts.

    is nice & clear. Thanks!

    @aclion111
did you ever figure out how to get the category name in the url ?

do you have to use post categories?

    TIA
