No mess, No fuss Art Workshop Event Ticketing
-
We run a small boutique Fine Arts School in northern NSW, Australia. Naturally, as a small business, we do not have access to substantial cash resources so when I discovered Event Espresso while searching Google for something else completely unrelated I stumbled across a site that uses Event Espresso and I was immediately interested, so I went straight to the Event Espresso homepage and did some reading on this plug-in.
We require our attendees to accept our terms and conditions before being able to purchase a ticket for one of our workshops. This presented a problem for us because at the time we were using the free tier on WordPress dot com, and the only choice I had was to set up a separate service where the customers would be taken away from our site to agree on an application form site and then proceed on to PayPal to fill in their credit card details. This concerned us somewhat, and even some of our customers contacted us and decided to purchase over the phone rather than enter any information into a second party site, even though only their names and email address were asked for in the application form.
I purchased an Event Espresso license and upgraded our WordPress account to Business, and in less than one hour I had all our events and most importantly our application form, including the “I Agree” checkbox set up and live on the web. Could not have been any easier.
This is without a doubt the best money we have invested towards our business. Tickets have been selling online like the proverbial “hotcakes”, so obviously, our customers have no concerns about their information going to another party while completing their transaction. They fill in their details and click the “I agree” checkbox and are then taken straight to PayPal to pay for their ticket. No mess, no fuss.
Event Espresso makes it so much easier to issue tickets online to workshop attendees. I can look up in no time the number of attendees in each workshop.
I don’t have to go to the time-consuming trouble of creating separate PayPal buttons as I did in the past for the twenty or more workshops we run, create one ticket and set it as the default for every new ticket and then create the workshops.
We advertise our list of workshops on various art-related sites and the ability to embed the list is a nice feature.
There are so many features that make setting up events so much easier compared to how we used to do our online ticket sales that it would take all day to list them here. Needless to say, it has changed what used to be a 4 to 6-hour job into something I can complete in less than an hour. If you need to sell tickets online, manage registrations, attendees, venues, etc. then you cannot go past Event Espresso, it does all this and more. Excellent plug-in, excellent price, excellent results. Try it, you will be glad you did.
