• Just after installing the plugin all attempts to access the admin section throw this error (with varying amounts of attempted memory allocation and from differing .php files and lines):

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home2/voicesdi/public_html/podcasts/wp-admin/includes/schema.php on line 279

The amount of memory being allocated is always less than the Allowed memory size (32). I have since upped that to 64 – to no avail. Something tells me its not really a memory problem, though.

  • are you sure the openid plugin is actually causing this? Does it happen when the OpenID plugin is the only one you have active? We had memory problems with the plugin before version 3.0 (released October 2008), but nothing really since then.

    Hello,
I am also seeing a memory allocated error on schema.php, but on line 275. This is from a fresh install of 2.7.1 without any plugins on my first attempt to run install.php. I double checked my wpconfig settings and they are correct. I’m in the process of deleting everything and uploading it again, but I’m starting to get frazzled as this is the fourth time I’ve tried to install wp (I had been trying to install MU and gotten errors from that as well).

We have multiple installs of much older versions of wp (1.5 and up) that are working on the site, but its irritating to have so many installs. I would like to export all of the data from 20 wp blogs and import them individually into categories in a clean install of 2.7.1.
