    Hello,

I am using the Aurum theme and Woocommerce plugin for my online store. My WordPress language was Dutch so i Think Woocommerce automatically recognized this as the default language for Woocommerce aswell but i want English as the default language for the store. I tried removing the dutch files .mo & .po files via Filezila but this only works for a few hours. Then the language is automatically set back to Dutch.

    Can someone help me please?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @trentyseb

The “default language for WooCommerce” i.e. what is used on the customer facing website, is what is used for your WordPress site language on the general settings page.

In other words, you can’t have the store in English and the rest of the site in Dutch without doing manual translations of every string for WooCommerce. In a roundabout way you’d want to translate everything to English but save this as a Dutch translation.

Alternatively, if it is an option, use a Multisite and have your WooCommerce store on a separate WordPress installation.

I hope this helps, have a great day!

    Thanks,
