  • I support a multi language info for my German Websites as well.

You can easily modify this file: “class.akismet.php” adding the italian text.

    Hi @@andreazambiasi,
thanks for the suggestion but this will not help to solve the issue as on first update the issue will come back again and also I can translate the text but the cookie page still be in English so maybe I need also customize the link… don’t know how this can solved.

I sure hope this will be solved, the privacy notice is pretty much unusable now. The biggest isse is with strings in the comment section (Save my name, e-mail etc…’ I would be wiling to change htat line with ervry update, but I can’t find it in class.akismet.php or any of the php-files.

Thanks for the reply. The Italian translation seems to be 100 % so I do not see something missing… just in my website I see the privacy line is only on English.

The Dutch translation seems to be 99 % … just in my website I see the privacy line is only in English.
On admin and elsewhere nl_NL.mo and nl_NL.po are working fine. Privacy line below comment-box is translated as well, but doesn’t show …?

    Hi there,

It’s possible you might have to update the language files for your site by visiting wp-admin/update-core.php first (see bottom). My notice was in English on my (French) test site until I used the built-in, user-controlled, WP updater.

Here’s how it looks after update, on my test site: https://cloudup.com/cBvoVSlDbVv

    Which comes from https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/akismet/stable/fr/default?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=6144187&filters%5Btranslation_id%5D=55586239

    Hi Stephane,
the language file Akismet-nl_NL.po were and are updated. Still Akismet shows the English text.

Visiting wp-admin/update-core.php had no effect on my site.

@mmwbadmin which version of Dutch are you using? Default or Formal? Formal isn’t ready yet.

    Hi Chantal,
I’m using Dutch (i.e. not Dutch Formal or Dutch Belgium).
The screenshot was taken from the .po-file @ host.

?? Updated translation was pushed. Dutch issue solved now.

Not all strings were approved. Akismet is now 100% translated and approved for nl_NL.

After update to 4.0.8 on June 19 the privacy line underneath the comment box is in English again …

Thanks for the reply. The Italian translation seems to be 100 % so I do not see something missing… just in my website I see the privacy line is only on English.
