Thanks for the information. Is there something you need help with?

Just came to the forums to report this.

each() has been deprecated as of PHP 7.2, which the plugin uses.

This throws a deprecated notice in various places.

There is a fix for this in the current pre-release of the next version of PowerPress. You can download and manually install it here, if you’d like:
    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/powerpress.zip

If you install this version, please provide feedback here as to whether or not it helped with the problem.

Thanks. I tried manually updating this, but unfortunately nothing has changed.

    Hello @stingpin,

How did you manually update the plugin? We removed every each() call in the version you downloaded, you would have at least had different notices or errors.

    Thanks,
    Angelo

I deleted the PowerPress folder from the Plugins folder on my server, and uploaded the new version.

I haven’t had any error messages, before or after replacing that folder. The problem, which still remains, is that my podcast won’t update in Overcast.

    Hello @stingpin,

This thread has nothing do do with fixing problems with Overcast. I know from experience though if Overcast is having issues, you may have other services having issues as well. Typically this has nothing to do with PHP notices or warnings (as this thread is about) but has to do with server security, or the use of a service like CloudFlare. Rather than hijacking a thread that is not related to your problem,. I would suggest starting a new thread. If the problem is only with Overcast, I would suggest instead of starting a thread here contacting Overcast first. They may have a reason other than your server that they are not updating your listing.

I Am waiting on anyone in this thread who has installed this version to let me know it is working for their versions of PHP before releasing this version. A simple reply “we’re good” or “still seeing notices” would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Angelo

Well, in fact I discovered today that, after being stuck for a couple months, Overcast is now suddenly updating my podcast again — all the episodes that weren’t loading are now all there. No idea what suddenly knocked them loose, but I’ll take it!

And I just noticed that, in my first message in this thread, I accidentally was responding to the wrong thread! I hadn’t expected to get e-mail notifications about ALL threads in the topic, just the one I had posted in. Anyway, sorry about that!

Just chiming in here that I installed the linked updated and it took care of the deprecation error.
