• The bad:
I find it odd that the commercial pro version is asking me to leave a review here, even providing the link to do so.

I am a little put off that their website clearly shows prices per month, however you can not actually pay by month, you must pay by year. Contacting them about this all you get is a note telling you to pay by the year.

Support so far has replied, but slowly. In addition, their support system is simply a form to submit a problem to them so there is no real way to follow up on an issue or add new material to an existing problem without a completely new submission. They seem to have no forum (for the paid version). So the free support seems superior in my opinion to the paid support.

There is little actual documentation. They have a page that is supposed to be a “manual” and isn’t, and they have a walk through video, that isn’t. For example, no where that I can find tells you the difference between clicking on the auto-post feature in a post, and clicking on the auto-post feature in the settings. What happens if I click one, the other, or both?

    The good:
So far, it has connected to all the platforms I have asked it to. The capabilities (and I have not used 1/100th of them) are impressive. Love the way I can see what posts have been shared on social media and when. Although the button could use renaming, the Customize & Schedule Social Media Posts has awesome functionality with the ability to immediately post to any/all connected accounts.

    Overall:
I like it. Much cheaper than the money I was looking at paying Hootsuite for what I want, although Hootsuire does a lot more, I wasn’t looking for that. I just needed connections and auto posting, and this plugin (the paid version) delivers. If it continues to work as promised, I will continue to be a paying customer.

    Hi, @flea777!

Thank you for your detailed feedback. It is great to hear that Blog2Social delivers exactly what you need and that you love the customization feature so much ??

That has been due to the weekend :). We usually reply within 24 hours at the latest. There are actually quite a lot options to contact us, follow-up on an issue, and add new material.

You can contact us via the support form that you have already described. Then you can always write us an e-mail straight to customer-service(at)blog2social(dot)com, drop us a message in the FAQ, give us a call or get in personal contact via our official forum on Facebook ??

You can find all the information in your WordPress backend in the section Blog2Social -> Dashboard, in your personal login on the Blog2Social website or again under Imprint on our website.

I am a little put off that their website clearly shows prices per month, however you can not actually pay by month, you must pay by year. Contacting them about this all you get is a note telling you to pay by the year.

The monthly prices are currently displayed to illustrate the price-performance ratio on a monthly basis and to highlight how favourable Blog2Social’s packages are calculated. As far as we can see in the system, Tobias got back to you with an e-mail regarding this.

There is little actual documentation. They have a page that is supposed to be a “manual” and isn’t, and they have a walkthrough video, that isn’t.

Lena from our content team is currently working on an all-new step-by-step guide with detailed information on the initial set up, configuration and every function, setting, and option you can use with Blog2Social. Once it is finished it will replace the current “How to” information ?? The same applies to the current walkthrough video.

For example, no where that I can find tells you the difference between clicking on the auto-post feature in a post, and clicking on the auto-post feature in the settings. What happens if I click one, the other, or both?

As you say, you have currently two options for auto-posting:

If you’d like to auto-post your blog post to all your social media networks or to one of your individual network selections, you can do so in your WordPress editor: Just enable the auto-posting feature and once you published your blog article, your post will be shared across all your selected social media accounts according to your set schedule.

You can activate the auto-posting of imported and automatically published blog posts to all your Twitter and Facebook profiles and pages in the Blog2Social settings: Blog2Social -> Settings -> Auto-Posting. Additional, you can filter the posts that should be auto-posted. So only posts that meet your criteria will be auto-posted to Facebook and Twitter.

If you’d like to activate both auto posters, please check if some of your Twitter or Facebook profiles are selected in both auto posters and please adjust your profile selection accordingly.

Thank you for the email address, I will use that from now on as that will allow me to track what I have sent in and when a lot better.

Yes, you and Tobias told me the same thing regarding the monthly pricing, but unfortunately that did not stop me (and probably will/has not stopped others) from clicking on the link to make the purchase only to find out the monthly option was not available.

Maybe I could suggest you put a note (or a star with a note at the bottom) and say something like “monthly rates for comparison only, all paid plans are annually based”. That would have made me a lot less suspicious of what was going on.

I did send in a question and Britta got back with me today so that is good. If the manuals/videos were better and the monthly pricing thing was fixed, I think it would be a lot better.
