    Backwpup: 3.5.1
    WordPress: 4.9.6

I am using Backwpup to backup to dropbox. The settings for testing are:
    Number of log files: 2
Number of files to keep in dropbox folder: 2

This works largely as expected. When I perform a third backup:
The oldest log file is deleted from my /uploads/ folder.
The oldest backup is deleted from my dropbox folder.
The list of log files only includes the two most recent logs.

BUT, if I display a list of backups, all three are shown (including the one which has been deleted from dropbox). As expected, an attempt to download this entry results in a blank screen. I realise that I could just delete these entries every so often, but I would prefer not to have to do so.

    Regards
    Andy

hmm, please try to go to job DropBox tab and press reauthenticate again, I was thinking if there is any temproary glitch between your site connection and Dropbox server.

Important to point out that the connection with the dropbox server appears to be OK. BackWPup is adding and deleting the backups exactly as expected.

However, I reauthenticated as you suggested but this made no difference.

Further analysis shows that the ‘manage backup archive’ screen in backWPup always lists the two most recent backups (the ones in dropbox), PLUS the one immediately preceding backup (no longer in dropbox). So, if the dropbox settings state: File deletion – 2, then there are always:
    2 backups in dropbox
3 backups listed in the archive.

    I can live with this.

I’m going to close this issue in here, if you still have any question, just reopen it again!
    Thanks!
