[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Fatal Error

  • I have activated the contact plugin. When in the dashboard under manage subcategory contact form 7 I am presented this message….

  • Are you sure that you uploaded all of the plugin files?

    Delete your current version of Contact Form 7. Grab a fresh copy from the Plugin Directory, unzip it and upload the entire folder (including the 3 sub-folders) to your plugins directory and try re-activating it again.

    i have tried that several times. What is the code that i am supposed to enter into my post/page?

    You need to have at least 1 form first using Admin/Tools/Contact Form 7. Can’t recall if the plugin creates a basic contact form for you as part of the setup (it’s been almost a year since I installed it).

    Once you have your form, the plugin provides you with a line of code that you have to paste into your post or page to display the form.

    Fatal error in my contact form 7 causing my site to crash. When I type in my web address, I get this message.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function plugin_dir_path() in /home8/bonnemaf/public_html/hillthread/wp-content/plugins/wp-contact-form/wp-contactform.php on line 19

    My site address is https://www.hillthread.com
    I cannot get any page of my site to open. I get this same message no matter which page I try to open.

    But I also get the same message when I try to go to my site admin.

    I type in this address https://www.hillthread.com/wp-admin and I get the same message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function plugin_dir_path() in /home8/bonnemaf/public_html/hillthread/wp-content/plugins/wp-contact-form/wp-contactform.php on line 19

    Any ideas on what to do??

    Contact Form 7 doesn’t have a file with such name. Seemingly it’s related to another plugin.
