  • Hey @fabiancho,

    Hope you’re well.

Sorry to hear that issue. I think you are referring to Health Check plugin tests, and I tried for my test site to replicate the problem. I can replicate it so reported it to our developers for further information.

It looks like some kind of bug but once I have more information, I will update this thread.

    Cheers,
    Oguz

Just wanted to weigh in with the same issue.

When “Custom Sidebar” is activated, gravity forms return this error in its system status:
Background tasks: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 2001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

When disabling this plugin (Custom Sidebars) the error disapears.

I also have the same problem. There is a curl problem with WP_Cron if using this plugin.

I have tested it using the “Health Check” plugin, then the following error message appears:

Testing custom-side1bars: The loopback request to your site failed, this may prevent WP_Cron from working, along with theme and plugin editors.

Error encountered: (0) cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    I use:

    PHP Version: 7.1.18-1 + ubuntu16.04.1 + deb.sury.org + 1 (Supports 64bit values)
    MySQL: 5.7.22-0ubuntu0.16.04.1
    cURL Version: 7.47.0 OpenSSL / 1.0.2g
    Using https

By the way, your plugin is great. Hopefully the above problem can be solved immediately.

Any news as to how to fix this issue? thank you.

    Hey there all!

Unfortunately we don’t have any development from our developers on this.
I’ve already contacted them though, so they could move it up it in their busy and long to-do list, so we could have an update here eventually.
Your patience on this is highly appreciated! ??

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris

Hi guys (Custom sidebars development team),
This problem is going to cost you dearly.
It breaks websites, email newsletter plugins cannot send their newsletters, Cloudflare’s railgun and rocket launcher cannot function and who knows what else malfunctions because of this.
I have reactivated and deleted Custom Sidebars because of this. What a shame because I really like this plugin.
I really cannot understand your stand on this (you (developers) are busy with other things that is more important than this problem.
My opinion is that you are going to loose a lot of customers.
Anyway, thanks for listening to me.

    Hello there @basiemartins,

hope you’re doing good today and really appreciate the feedback here. I’ve already pinged our associated developers once again about this issue, so they can provide some more insights. I can also see that our bug report is “in development” currently, so most probably we will have some hotfix that we can provide here or a new release that will resolve this.

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris

    Hi Dimitris,

    Hello @hannahoreilly

    Hope you are doing well!

The new fix for this issue will be released soon. At the moment our QA team testing the plugin to make sure it will be bug-free.

We appreciate your patience in here!

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Hello @fabiancho, @hannahoreilly, and @basiemartins

    Hope all is well!

The issue should have been resolved in a version 3.2.1. Please update a plugin on your site if needed. I’ve marked this ticket as resolved for now, but if you need anything else at all, we’re here for you, please just reopen the ticket or create a new one.

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Thanks, this is much appreciated
