change uploaded file name before storing

    Hi, Thanks for the plugin. It is great use for storing CF7 Data. I have a CF7 with file upload field. and i would like to change the name with uploder name appended to the file name before it is saved into the upload folder.

    for example –> uploadedfile.pdf to uploadedfile-john.pdf

    i searched this particular thing and found some solutions but they all are done to save file in wordpress upload directory. But i like to keep using this plugin, so can u please suggest any way to implement this with Advanced CF& DB plugin.

    PS:

    uploadedfile.pdf -> john-uploadedfile.pdf will also work for me… the name can be either prefixed or postfixed…

    We have considered your suggestion in our list, we are planning to provide the name change provision for the file name to be stored or maybe a hook before saving the data. We have not yet planned anything, but your suggestion will be in our list.

    Hope, you would be glad to know that we have provided filters before saving the data to the database.

    You can find the example in the FAQ section, in addition, we have also provided the filter for restricting certain form saving to our DB.

    Hoping this will help you to modify according to your requirement.
