Layer Spacing Responsive

Hi there,
I have different text sizes for my mobile and desktop versions of the slider. I have the slider set to Auto and Up Scale and Down Scale both on.
The slider resizes as I want it to and so does the text, however, the space between the layers also increases. On the mobile version there are big vertical gaps between layers that I do not want. I want the three layers to be center aligned with small gaps between. It is shown clearly in these images:

How can I remove the large vertical gaps on mobile?
