When I set event tracking settings to:
“Measurement Protocol (Default)” and “Default” for make all forms Ajax only,
then the events trigger in Google Analytics fine but I cannot see the visitor’s location or the landing page. The landing page information says “(not set)”.

Then, in an effort to work out where the conversions are coming from, I set event tracking settings to:
“Google Analytics (Ajax only)” and “Ajax only” for make all forms Ajax only,
But now the events are not registering at all in Google Analytics.

Do you know what the problem might be?

How can I track conversion data including location and landing page information using Gravity Forms and the Event Tracking for Gravity Forms plugin?

In this case, the measurement protocol is not for you.

I recommend Monster Insights for analytics Just make sure your forms are Ajax only.

Hi Ronald, thanks for the fast response.

I added Monster Insights to my website and I deactivated the old Google Analytics plugin.

But, it still doesn’t work. In Ajax mode, I get nothing in Google Analytics, in Measurement Protocol mode I get the events but no details.

I’ll also add that half of the opt-in forms on my website are with Optinmonster and the other half are with Gravity Forms and Event tracking with Gravity Forms. And the Optinmonster forms work okay. And I really want to get the Gravity Forms working in the same way.

    This issue is resolved.

The solution was to make sure you’re logged out or open a window incognito to test out the forms. Forms must be set to use Google Analytics and the forms must be Ajax only.

Monster Insights is the recommended plugin to use along with this plugin.

    Cheers.
