iTunes Keywords Missing?

  • According to the linked help page at blubrry.com, you can select up to 12 keywords for your podcast’s iTunes listing. I don’t see this option on any of the settings pages in the Powerpress plugin, but I need to be able to add keywords for our PlayerFM listing. Has this option been removed? If so, how can I add keywords? TIA.

    Apple deprecated keywords back in 2008 or so (the values were not used in iTunes) and officially dropped them in their documentation in 2012. If playerFM is using the tag they should be aware that iTunes dropped the tag and is no longer part of the iTunes RSS spec.

    Thanks for referencing the page with that documented, I’ve updated the iTunes keywords field to indicate that the field has been deprecated and is no longer available.
