Blog page and Portfolio …

I have 2 problems/questions:

For a client I made a site with a blog page and a portfolio page. I made a blog page by creating a category named ‘blog’ but it’s difficult because the client have to make all categories etc.

The client also asked for a portfolio page. I made a portfolio the same way as the blog page. For each new ‘project’ at the portfolio I create post.

– Can you create a blog or portfolio page without making a categorie for it?
– Can post new projects without make a new post for each project?
