    Hello,

I am using duplicator for the first time for moving a website which is on my localhost to an already existing domain. But every time I get the same warning that only a part of all the files are uploaded to the server (using filezilla). It says:
The archive file size is currently 59.62MB and its estimated file size should be around 186.06MB. The archive file may not have been fully downloaded to the server. If so please wait for the file to completely download and then refresh this page.

This warning is only shown when the file has more than a 10% size ratio difference from when it was originally built. Please review the file sizes to make sure the archive was downloaded to this server correctly if the download is complete.
But I did upload the complete zip file. I also extracted the complete folder and then uploaded it to the server, but duplicator didn’t even saw these files. What am I doing wrong here?

    Thanks in advance!

  • That is odd… Have you tried to clear your browser cache and validate maybe with your cPanel interface to make sure the file is showing at 186MB?

I have exactly the same issue. I see in my cPanel that the uploaded archive file is 65.23Mb, and the duplicator error message confirms that size, but for some reason thinks the file should be 201.83Mb. Lower down in the error message it does confirm that the file was found and the structure is good.

I have tried clearing the browser cache with no change.

    HELP!!

    Hey @samsonclassics,

If you want to submit a support ticket for this issue I can have a closer look at your setup. Please provide a link to this thread when submitting the ticket.

    Thanks~

Hi. I was wondering if this was reolved and whats the solution? I have a similar problem when trying to migrate my website (using mamp) and running installer.php on my localhost I get the same info:

    0B
The archive file size is currently 0B and its estimated file size should be around 386.72MB. The archive file may not have been fully downloaded to the server. If so please wait for the file to completely download and then refresh this page.

This warning is only shown when the file has more than a 10% size ratio difference from when it was originally built. Please review the file sizes to make sure the archive was downloaded to this server correctly if the download is complete.

there is also a comment ‘Unable to validate format’.

Obviously, I checked the files all in the folders and add up to 386mb..
    this is really strange..

I have this problem too. The numbers given don’t correspond to anything. This is frustrating.

I feel enough people are affected that you should post a public solution. Thank you.

    Duplicator – Bootloader version: 1.3.2
    Setup Notice:
An error has occurred. In order to load the full installer please resolve the issue below.
    Archive file size warning.
The expected archive size should be around [8.67GB]. The actual size is currently [686.26MB]. The archive file may not have fully been downloaded to the server. Please validate that the file sizes are close to the same size and that the file has been completely downloaded to the destination server. If the archive is still downloading then refresh this page to get an update on the download size.

I have the same Problem, when I try to run the Installer on local Windows 10 Machines with XAMPP (Apache, MYSQL).
The Installer works well on external Webspace and also under macOS Mojave with MAMP.

    “Archive file size warning.
The expected archive size should be around [4.1GB]. The actual size is currently [220.32MB]. The archive file may not have fully been downloaded to the server. Please validate that the file sizes are close to the same size and that the file has been completely downloaded to the destination server. If the archive is still downloading then refresh this page to get an update on the download size.”

I’ve got an answer from Duplicator’s support crew. In my case it’s because PHP on Windows does not support file sizes above 2GB. This is a limitation with XAMPP/PHP not Duplicator.
Maybe this helps other users in the future.

Another one with the same Problem….I’ve cleared the browser cache and my file is not above 2 GB. Has anybody found a solution for that issue?
    *desperate*
