    Hello Hesham,

I just updated Schema to 1.7 and I discovered in the advanced tab the following option “Disable Duplicate Features that Yoast SEO Offers” : I’ve been using Schema for some time now (and I thank you for it) and I thought that Schema was naturally overriding Yoast’s schema.org implementation.

Would you have an example where this particular option might come in handy?

    Thanks for your time!

Hi, this feature has been in the plugin since early releases, but I’ve moved it under the Advanced tab.

Your are correct, Schema -by default- finds out that Yoast SEO is installed and active on a site, and it takes over the output (automatically disable Yoast SEO output), so there is no duplication.

This setting is to disable the Schema output and just let Yoast SEO do it like normal, example:

    • Knowledge Graph
    • Corporate contacts
    • Sitelinks searchbox
    • Logos
    • Social profile links
    • BreadCrumbList

This was a feature requested by a few users, who didn’t want to fill fields twice (that’s where it comes handy).

This feature made sense to me before, that’s why I added it. Actually, the roadmap was to populate data from Yoast SEO settings if it’s installed, but I end up adding this setting because it was quicker. Maybe this will change in the future though.

    I hope this explains.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply, and yes, that explains it. It actually made a lot of sense, and confirmed that I won’t be using this feature ??

So just to be clear… if I want Schema to handle these features and not Yoast, do I tick or untick the box?
    Thanks

    To be clear:

    1) leave this checkbox un-ticked if you want Schema to handle the markup output.

    2) Or, tick the check box to let Yoast SEO handle the markup output.

    Hi,

I thought that would disable the Yoast settings till now. Today i unchecked that option, so schema will take over from today hopefully? if yes, then please change the text or modify as it’s really confusing. “Disable Duplicate Features that Yoast SEO Offers?” I thought enabling/checking this option will remove yoast settings. Thank you.

I will modify the text to make it more clear in the next update.

    Thank you so much. ??

If you kindly see to my other 2 topics, that I have already posted

    1) Does schema support All in One SEO

    2) WPFooter Showing wrong Copyright Year 2017 instead of 2018

It is very important for me, I was just about to start editing your plugin for the copyright year, but I don’t want to do that, as if you update it then everything will get override.

Thanks in advance once again. ??

@svayam I haven’t got a chance to look at All in One SEO plugin yet, but I will do when I get a chance.

For your other point, The WPFooter copyright year has been fixed.

P.S. Please, open a new thread for your questions and bug report.
