  • Hi @hseager,

    Please check your pages again if the featured image is still associated with it in the dashboard.

    You can also check by removing and adding the images again and if still not working for you then update the theme with the latest version once again.

    Please do take backup of the site before doing these actions.

    Thanks

    Thank you @prashantvatsh. I took all of those steps and still the place where the images should be remains grey. The site isn’t very old anyway so it was unlikely that the theme was an old version. Any other ideas on what to try?

    Many thanks!

    I can see you have added blog and contact page featured image and they are displaying there on your site. About page is missing featured image that’s why it is not appearing there.

    Hi again,

    Unfortunately, it doesn’t make a difference to the HOMEPAGE where the images don’t show up in the strips. If you look now, I’ve added a featured image to the about page as well and none of them show up, they are just grey strips.

    Any other ideas welcome!

    Many thanks,
    Harriett

    Hi. I have the same problem and have already tried all the suggestions to no avail. The images appear as grey strips at full size but are visible on mobile or when the window size is reduced. No other featured images are affected except those on the Twentyseventeen homepage. The images have been loaded as 2000X1200 as advised.
    This only started happening recently. Any help appreciated!

    Sorry- my site is https://www.walkervillevet.com.au/
    @hseager it looks like you fixed your issue?

    Hi @andrewsp,

    You can place this CSS

    .panel-image {
        background-attachment: inherit !important;
    }

    and it will show your images. But I will recommend to once check by deactivating auto-optimize plugin before writing this CSS. If that will not work then you can place this CSS and it will show the image there.

    hseager, I can see there are images on your site.

    Thanks

    Thank you @prashantvatsh that worked perfectly! (I had already tried deactivating the plugins)

    Hi @prashantvatsh and @andrewsp. The images show on the individual pages but still not on the homepage. Any further advice would be appreciated, thank you ??

    I do not know how you are not able to see them. I can see that they are there.

    Thank you @prashantvatsh. It looks fine on your screencast and on my friend’s mac too but it’s not working on mine still. I’ve cleared the cache and still no joy so I think I’ll shut down and retsart, see if it makes a difference!

    That’s strange. You can try on any other system you have.

    Thank you @prashantvatsh. I had the same problem but only using Chrome (on a Mac) no problem using either Firefox or Safari. But, I’m a CSS dummy, can you please explain why or how it works? Thanks.

    hey guys

    I have the same problem as well – using the latest version of twenty-seventeen. I can upload the images, choose them as the featured image, update the page but when viewing them they are just greyed out. very frustrating. I’m not a CSS geek so not sure how/where to put the code solution – any help appreciated ??

    need help prashant
