The Plugin is taking up 9.9MB to load the page and slow down the page speed

  • Hi,
    I run a page speed test and contacted my host to conduct analysis with a recommendation. They found that it seems to be Cookie Consent plugin used on my website is causing redirect issue and all these redirects to a remote server and it takes longer for my website to be loaded. The page is 9.9MB and it makes 295 requests to fully load the entire content. Please advise.

    Hi – okay, I haven’t had this reported as an issue before and I can’t really see how the Cookie Consent plugin could cause an issue like this. It just uses JavaScript to place a notification on the page – there are no redirects to a remote server.

    If you find that the page loads quicker without the plugin, then maybe try a different cookie consent plugin? There are several out there.
