Using Photonic with Folders

    Is it possible to use Photonic with folders?
    It would be way simpler to manage native galleries if there would be a way just to fetch the contents of a folder on the server (or a URL, for that matter).

    No, that isn’t possible.

    There are many limitations to using folders, the primary being the sizing of the output. Note that when you upload images to your media library, WP automatically creates different sizes for it. You are then able to create galleries and state which size you want to use. The use of a size is not just for aesthetic purposes, but for reasons such as server load etc.

    The other challenge for folders is that there is no capability to store information such as album names, image titles etc., or perform ordering of photos.
