Last Update Crashes My Site

    Your update today crashes my site (causes 500 Server Error).

    When I deactivate the plugin, all is well. To get my site working again, I had to rename the folder of your plugin (because I couldn’t access my site). When I activate the plugin (by naming the directory the correct name, the site crashes again.)

    I’m using WP 4.9.6.

    I’m using php v7.1.

    WP Project Manager required version 2.0 or above. Please update now.

    WP Project Manager PRO plugin is not installed. Install the plugin first

    The following section provides instructions for determining if an issue you are experiencing with is caused by a plugin conflict.

    There are many WordPress plugins out there and not all of them are coded nicely so let’s see if you have a plugin installed that is not playing nice.

    => Try to deactivate the plugins excepts WP Project Manager then check again.

    It seems like you are using the “WP Project Manager Pro” plugin version: 2.0.0 and the “WP Project Manager” free/core plugin version: 1.6.16.
    Would you please delete the “WP Project Manager” free/core plugin version: 1.6.16 and install and activate the “WP Project Manager” free/core plugin version: 2.0 (before you activate the “WP Project Manager Pro” plugin version: 2.0.0) then check your site and let me know the update.

    @clifton11221 The PHP version isn’t a problem then, can I get the list of plugins? Seems like a conflict to me. You can check the conflict as @mdmamun-1 pointed out, having a staging server is very useful in this case or we need the list of plugins to test it ourself.

    @stevepeck1 Yes, as a user, it’s very bad. But the version 2.0 is a complete rewrite of the last version. So we had to write the whole plugin again, which we normally do not do. So accept our apology. If any problem/conflict arise, I appreciate your help.

    Same problem here. Today’s update caused a server error for anything under wp_admin. I didn’t know which plugin at first, so I renamed the whole plugins directory, then reactivated one by one. wp project manager broke the site again when I reactivated it. It also says it is upgrading the database, but it doesn’t ever finish, and doesn’t show any projects.

    @tbclark3 Sorry for the trouble, but when you reactivated the plugin again, did it cause server error again? If not, then I think I know where the problem happened. And also let me know if the upgrade finishes.

    When I reactivated the plugin, it didn’t cause the same disaster (no access to anything under wp_admin), but it also doesn’t work. I just got the former version off of backup and replaced it. It correctly shows the one existing project. I deleted it, and upgraded. This time the upgrade didn’t kill the server, but it also still attempts to upgrade the 1 (presumably non-existent) project and never finishes. I have uninstalled it again.

    That’s weird.

    If you need assistance debugging the issue in the site, please let me know. In the meantime, we are fixing the problems what possible from the plugin.

    Empty projects, no database update, with our without PRO activated after 2.0.1 upgrade. Removing 1.6.16 before or after doesn’t make a diffence. Your upgrade process seems to be broken even with latest version. I’ll stick with previous version for now.

    I installed the 2.0.1 update. It didn’t do anything catastrophic, but it also doesn’t complete the migration–just spins forever, showing 0/1 projects migrated, even though I reinstalled the old version and deleted the one project.

    Is there any way of completely removing wp project manager and starting over? I removed the wp_pm and wp_cpm tables, but it still tried to do a migration. I haven’t tried looking through the wp system tables to see what else needs to be removed. I hope there is an easier way.

    The conflict is with the UpStream plugin. I disabled the plugin and their isn’t an issue. So your plugin is currently conflicting with the UpStream plugin (probably because they work similar).

    I had the same problem as @cliffton11221. On a single install the update produced a 500 server error and I was completely locked out of wp-admin.

    On a multisite installation where the plugin is not network active, it only broke the sites that the plugin was installed on, but it produced a PHP error instead.

    I overwrote the plugin files with a version I downloaded in May and this resolved my issue for now.

    Please advise when the next stable update is available.

    I installed the 2.0.1 update and it broken all my projects and tasks. When I check project manager in backend, the page get stuck loading without showing projects (that blue loading bar above page never finish the course)

    I’ve disable all plugins (even WPPM Pro and all addons tht I purchase), activated the default WP theme and the problem remains.

    I rolled back to version 1.6.16 and the projects lists came back to normal.
    What can I do?
