Hello,

Email subscribers was working fine for me, until I updated the plug-in to the latest version (3.5.0) yesterday. I updated to the latest version because WP Engine sent me an email saying there was a security vulnerability with the previous version of the plug-in that I was using. The problem now is that no new subscribers are appearing in the system nor are emails being sent out.

I know the problem is with the update because when I restored my site to the previous version, everything was working. It’s just when I updated the plug-in to the latest version that it stopped working.

Can anyone help me with this? Suggestions for what to do when things go awry after a plug-in update? Would appreciate thoughts about how to solve this problem.

I just tested the latest update and it is working for me. Can you please update to the 3.5.3 and check if the issue goes away.

I believe the same thing happened to me. The form no longer submits on the iPhone or in IE11 and Edge on the Desktop. The form data gets placed into the url and the page reloads with the data still in it with no submission going through.

Example URL:
https://www.mydomain.com/?es_txt_email=test%40gmail.com&es_txt_button=Sign%20Up&es_txt_name&es_txt_group=Public&es-subscribe=8dff2e5e0d

The form does work on Firefox and Chrome desktop, though.

Edge developer tools gives me this error in the console:

SCRIPT7002: XMLHttpRequest: Network Error 0x80700013, https://download.microsoft.com/download/B/9/F/B9FF9327-7A72-4165-BF91-9B7EEB6C579B/DeviceList.json

Ideas?

Hi dustinhorstmann,

This seems to be an incompatibility issue with Email Subscribers form and IE11 and iPhone.
We need to check this again please allow us some more time to investigate into this and we will get back to you.
