Spam Signups from wp-signup.php

    Hi,
    I have deactivated the registration on my wordpress site and deactivated also the plugin integration for the signup forms. Still I am getting 2 or 3 spam signups a day from wp-signup.php. Any ideas?

    Maybe they come in trough the form in the footer on that page?

    I suggest to built the form with the buttons above the form editor, instead of copying code from an embedded form.

    For the spam signups, I suggest to install the WP Bruiser plugin and activate it’s MailChimp for WordPress integration, it will block most of the spam without bothering your users.

    Hi Lap,

    thanks for your answer. They are coming definitely from wp-signup.php (as this is mentioned as the signup source in Mailchimp).

    Will give a look to WP Bruiser though…
