    Hi!
If I upload and set a photo on my home page with Meta Slider, it’s getting blurry and pixelated. The pictures are high quality, so it shouldn’t be the problem. I tried to use the default settings, vantage flex (I use the free Vantage theme), and the other settings, I also cropped the image in 1350 x 300 px, and I set it on Meta Slider, but nothing worked.

    Could you please help me?
    Thanks!

  • Hi @fadorja789,

It looks like Jetpack is resizing the image for some reason. I think you have to turn off the image resize options in JetPack. Can you check if that solves it?

    Hi @kbat82 !

    Thanks for answering me.
Unfortunately, it didn’t solve the problem. The original image I cropped to 1350 x 300 px is 5480 x 3654 px, so I don’t understand why it is still blurry.

    Hi @fadorja789,

If you cropped it to 1350×300 then the 5480×3654 is irrelevant at widths beyond 1350px. You should set the slideshow at the maximum width you believe the image will need to be expanded to, then set it to 100% width (under advanced settings).

You can use add_image_size to add various resolutions. The slideshow will pick up on that. This way you dont serve your massive files on screens that don’t need it.

    Hi @kbat82!

I think it’s working now. Jetpack did the problem, but I had to change the picture too. It didn’t matter how good was the quality of the image, it was blurry.
So I turned off the image resize option in Jetpack and uploaded the image in its original size after I set it with Meta Slider.

    Thank you for your help!
