Unique User ID for each user

  • Hi all, currently I have made the Profile Permalink Base based on User ID, however it is /user/1, /user/2 etc, meaning any user can input any number after /user/ to view my member’s data.

    How do I change the user ID to a 6 digit randomised number OR make the profiles only visible to the user? I have tried accessing the user page on another phone in incognito but yet I could still see the profile was present

    Hi @xuanminggg,

    You can change the UM Access settings and set it to logged in users when you edit the User Page. There’s also an option where users cannot see other profiles. Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > User Roles > Edit a role > see the section “Profile Access”.

    Hi, changed the UM Appearance Settings – Who can see About tab to Owner only, but now when I (admin) try to access their profile page, only the display name appears and not the information.

    Also, I would like the user ID permalink to not be sequential, but random numbers so people cannot go through my website and see every single user that has registered on my website. Is that possible?
