Events date Passed

    A 1-day event scheduled for later this year, displays Event Date Passed on my homepage.

    I notice it gives the error when I input the start date and end date as the same date.

    If the start date is changed to a different date, the countdown is displayed on the webpage. This gives a different detail entirely about my event.

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks for reaching out — sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties.

    I’m unable to replicate this behavior on any of my sites running The Events Calendar, so this seems like it could be a conflict with theme and/or plugins. I’d take a run through our Testing for Conflicts guide.

    The countdown on your front page is indeed part of the theme and not The Events Calendar — another note: it seems like your site is throwing an error in the console. I’d check that out and see what the cause of that is as it could be related.

    The theme you are using Aternit, is using customized The Events Calendar templates, so it’s tough to see what exactly is going on here.

    We don’t really support theme customizations (and really can’t support themes that are packaged with modified The Events Calendar template files).

    The countdown on the homepage is not part of The Events Calendar, but functionality added through your theme. Unfortunately you’ll need to contact them since that code was not developed by us.

    If you can confirm anomalous behavior with a theme like Twenty Seventeen active and no other plugins, we can take a look for sure.
