    Hello,

I’m using theme ENFOLD and I created custom taxonomies with plugin “Custom Post Type UI”.

I try to use your widget in a blog Sidebar but nothing appears.
I read the instructions, the widget is written as “registered”, I don’t understand why it d?sn’t display in sidebar.

I don’t know where to start to find the solution ?

Thanks in advance for your help ??

    Hi,

If you use the widget in a sidebar that is not on the CPT archive you have to specify which post type you want it to work for. So make sure you set the CPT in the “Specific posttype” setting of the widget.

That should do it! If the widget still does not appear I’m guessing it has to do with your theme rather than BTF. Try adding a text widget to the same sidebar and see if that pops up.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.
Indeed, if I put the widget in a sidebar, which is on the CPT page archives => it works.

Does it mean that, if I want to create a Page calling the CPT archives inside (and not the “automatic” archive page), it won’t works ?

    Hi,

Yeah BTF will always send your filtered results to the archive page. That’s how it works with the URLs and everything ??
It can’t filter a custom query you coded yourself.

You can add the filter to your page tho if you set the “specific posttype” setting. It will just send the user to the archive when they actually filter something.
