I’ve run into this issue twice now, and I made a connection to the Maintenance Mode plugin: When I have Maintenance Mode running, I can’t activate or deactivate other plugins. The first time this happened, I was trying to activate a new plugin. I would click “Activate,” the page would refresh, and a confirmation would appear at the top. But the plugin was not activated. Of course, I tried this multiple times. I gave a temporary admin link to the plugin support, and they were able to activate it just fine.

This second instance, I was not able to deactivate a plugin. I had the same symptoms. Then I turned Maintenance Mode status to “Disabled.” Boom. I was able to deactivate the plugin without a hitch.

I’m not currently in a bind, but this seems problematic when trying to test/activate/deactivate plugins while in Maintenance Mode.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
