• After years of using it, the Jetpack plugin we had suddenly disappeared from our WordPress. Extremely bizarre. So we’ve reinstalled it (using FTP).

Whenever we try to activate it, it says:

“Access denied for user ”@’localhost’ (using password: NO) on line: 1471″

    This appears at https://www.azam.info/wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=

Why is this error message appearing? How can we activate Jetpack please?

We’re using the latest version of WordPress and all our other plugins are up-to-date.

    Thank you.

I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack#new-post so the plugin’s / theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.

    Thanks Steve!

I’ve asked there and also my webhost, but no solution.

This is what the webhost have responded with:

“This message indicates that the software is trying to login to the database without a username or password. Did Jetpack support give any information why it’s doing that or what lead them to believe it’s a server problem? Our database requires a username and password to be used always.”

Could anybody kindly let me know of a solution please?
