it might be a great future however we cannot give any eta; at the moment EM supports this – https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/map-types/

    That’s a pity.
So I have to search for other WordPress Eventmanagement Plugins, if I want to get rid of Google?

using the latest EM version or dev version, you can try under Events > Settings > General > Google Maps and Location Services > Enable Google Maps integration =No

    Hello,

What about adding basic text fields for setting latitude and longitude of locations? That would help a lot for us to display locations in OpenStreetMap applets.

If patches are welcome, I would be glad to suggest one.

    Thanks!

    Hi Florent,
    EM User here too ??

Actually, those meta fields already exist, they are just hidden. ??
A location has 2 database entries: in wp_postmeta and in wp_em_locations. Basically (simplified) the postmeta ID is used by WP for the Admin entry. When updated, it saves the meta fields and updates the wp_em_locations table row.
That way generating the locations pulldown field is much easier, as it can be taken from one sql table instead of searching and filtering the postmeta entries. And referencing it in the event page as well, location_id = XX.

There are several plugins out there to unhide hidden custom fields.

I’m not sure if it’s “easy enough” to hook into EM’s EM_Locations class to alter the output, but you could give it a try. ??

Thanks for your answer! Indeed, I see these fields in the Inspector. I’ll give a deeper look at it.

    Florent
