Image gallery not showing up

I’ve been unsuccessfully trying to get the image gallery to work at all. I’ve installed it on two servers, one public and one private and tried to get the gallery to display with and without the slideshow addon, I get nothing. I did some testing and it looked like there’s an issue with the scope of the post id so it’s returning a null value, which means the plugin doesn’t know which images to retrieve for that post.

I’m not a developer so I couldn’t get any further with a solution. Something about making the scope of the $post variable global was all I could dig up on the internet.

The featured image nor the four property images show up on the property.php page in my child theme folder and I’ve tried adding the shortcode for the slideshow in the content or displaying it on the page directly with php and neither solution works for me.

It WAS working a few weeks ago when I tested this out as a potential solution for a client. Was there a recent update that changed this?
