    I was having this error– Currently unavailable. Please try a different payment method.

    I struggled for hours and tried deactivating plugins and changing themes. I added the WP Rollback Plugin and switched Paypal by Braintree Plugin back to 2.0.4 and it fixed it.

    It seems that the lated updates for Paypal by Braintree Plugin DO NOT WORK! The developers need to get the bugs worked out of the plugin before putting a buggy plugin out there.

    EVERYONE BEWARE: Do not upgrade your Paypal by Braintree Plugin or you will not be able to process Credit cards and you will lose sales.

    I had a good look at this today and was able to reproduce this bug. We’re going to look into a fix for this, but we have an easy workaround in the meantime! ??

    What’s happening is, IF you have the Braintree(PayPal) gateway active BEFORE the Braintree(Credit Card) gateway, and you have no other payment gateways active, the “Place Order” button does not show up.

    As a temporary workaround, just make sure that the Braintree(PayPal) gateway is not the first active Payment Gateway and everything will work as expected.

    We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Please don’t mark this as resolved. We just encountered this in our site today, exactly as shdog describes. We reverted back to 2.04 but it’s still broken and what you describe, Luminus, is not the problem at all. It has nothing to do with a place order button! Not sure where you got that.

    Echoing what KatAndMouse has said. this isn’t resolved and is causing major problems for my client.

    Please can someone help!?

    We solved our problem. Apparently it is incompatible with Modern Tribe’s Event Calendar Pro. Fortunately we didn’t need that anymore so we turned it off and this plugin now works just fine.
