• I’ve fallen in love with the fancybox effect, however i’m having no luck in getting the iframe functionality to work properly. I’ve been able to show a PDF file in the window, but no luck with using it as a portal to another website.

If anyone out there has an idea of how to make this work, along with effectively being able to adjust the fancybox window size when (if) i get the effect to work, please share your wisdom.

    thanks!

  • I can’t make this work either. It’s been 5 months since you posted with no response. Perhaps you found another solution. Any advice?

ok, i figured it out. i just reported on the developer’s site:

I have found an error in the 2.6.0 plugin that prevents external HTML from working in an iframe. For example, linking to Google, a fancybox would open, but nothing would render in it.

issue was that the file shipped with and referenced by the plugin:

    jquery.fancybox-1.2.1.pack.js?ver=1.3.2

does not match the contents of the identically named file on your functioning demo/example site:
    https://blog.moskis.net/wp-content/plugins/fancybox-for-wordpress/jquery.fancybox-1.2.1.pack.js?ver=1.3.2

replacing the version shipped in 2.6.0 with your live functional version fixes the problem.
