    Hi @heddesheimer,

    Do you have WordPress multisite?
It happens with the admin password or also when trying to reset user password?
Please check developers console of your browser for any errors.

    Regards.

    No multisite.

I try to reset a user password.

I tried to check in the console. I think I can see an error flashing for a fraction of a second, but then it’s redirecting to the error message.

I just tried in Firefox and there it worked. Obviously, it’s somehow related to the Chrome browser only.

    Hi @heddesheimer,

This may be due to some of your Chrome extensions, please try to disable them and see if it helps.
Please also try to clear cache and browsing data.

    Regards.

Thank you. I found that the problem suddenly disappeared, so it might have been a caching problem with my browser. Thanks for the tip.

Hello There, Well I Have This Issue Including That All Emails Are Not Working (The Sign Up Approvals, Welcome Email, Reset Password Email, etc…) Although I Checked On The Settings Many Times, And Tested On Other Site With A Different Hosting…..But Still,,Non Of The Emails Were Sent To Any Account, And Any New User Is Approved Directly Even Tho The Settings Are Set To “Requires Email Confirmation”, And “Forgot The Password” Email Don’t work As Well…..I Already Mentioned This Issue And Many Others As Well, But No Solution Seem To Appear….
This is Very Sad…I Really Love The Simplicity Of This Plugin, But Unfortunately….

enelleryx117, maybe this plugin will help you.
    Frontend Reset Password

Hello, i have the same problem a website since many month.
The user receives the “password reset mail” with a link seems like:
But, when he open that link, it returns to the reset page requesting the “username” again.

Yeah, resetting my password from the password reset link sent via e-mail has also sometimes resulted in the message: “This is not possible for security reasons.” I was able to successfully reset the password after pasting the same password reset link into a different browser (I was using Chrome) or using Chrome’s incognito mode.

Of course, knowing this isn’t going to help my users, when they try to reset their password so they can access their account, get this message, and then give up and move on to another service, or get frustrated (at us).
