• Hi Craig, awesome that we can view stats so easily.

Just checking – I think I’ve read before that SSP Stats ignores crawlers, but can site attacks have any effect on play counts? I wouldn’t expect so, but just checking.

Some better sorting, filtering and extraction of stats would be worth paying for too.

Hi there. Yes we filter out crawlers by checking User Agents against a known library of bots/crawlers. But no, things like attacks on your site may not be excluded from SS Stats.

In terms of sorting, filtering, extraction, etc. what specifically would you be interested in seeing?

    Thanks Craig,

In the main dashboard list of podcast episodes, to filter to show only one series would be really handy please.

In SSP stats, a way of easily exporting all stats for a single episode and/or series (or just a quick csv dump of all the data which could be filtered in a spreadsheet). Plus a breakdown of the week’s listens by episode.

For example, ‘how many listens has this episode ever had’, or ‘which were the top ten podcasts this week”.

    Thanks

I’m having a great deal of trouble with bots and crawlers. Every time I release a new episode, I get hundreds of spam plays, from bots clicking all the available links on my website.

The plugin doesn’t seem to be helping. Or maybe it would have been even worse without the help from it. It’s a great annoyance to me though.
