    Hello!
We have installed wp-optimize in our website and have selected the Enable scheduled clean-up and optimization (Beta feature) Daily option.
However, the scheduled clean-up does not seem to be executed. Are there any requirements for it to be executed? Do we need to somehow register wp-optimize to the wordpress cron system? The “Log events into the PHP error log” option is checked but the php error log does not seem to have any relevant records … can you help us with this?

    Thank you in advance!

  • I have five websites that run WP-Optimize 2.2.4, in every case the “Last scheduled optimization was at: February XX, 2018. Every site is different and is on a different server configuration.

    Hello there,
yes, same with us, “Last scheduled optimization was at: February XX, 2018”. Does it just show that message?

This is it: Last scheduled optimization was at: February 12, 2018 12:43 pm
Scheduled cleaning enabled, Next schedule: July 31, 2018 10:05 am – Refresh
    Keeping last 2 weeks data

    Hi both,

    Apologies for the delay.

Please could you install the free WP Crontrol plugin?

Then, go to WP Admin->Tools->Cron Events. Do you see any error or warning messages on that page?

WP Control installed and running. No error messages, no warnings and no scheduled optimisation.

    Hi,

Is the option to run a backup before the optimisation enabled?

If so, please could you try temporarily disabling this option? Does the optimisation run?

With ‘Take a backup with UpdraftPlus before doing this’ off it works fine. With it switched back on it does not work.

    Hi,

    Thank you.

It appears that there is a general bug in WP-OPtimize/UpdraftPlus which is preventing the optimisation from running after the automatic backup.

This has been passed on to our developers, and we should be able to release a fix soon.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

    Hi,

Sorry for the trouble. This is fixed in the most recent UpdraftPlus release of a few days ago.
