customising twenty sixteen theme

  • Hi there

    I recently installed wordpress and got the twenty sixteen theme as the site theme.

    I would like to know can I remove the bar right at the top of the page that has the search icon on the right of the bar, and the wordpress links on the left corner. Its very annoying and I don’t want it there. Ive looked in the theme and cant find where to remove it for looking.

    please can you help me? Ive seen other themes without it but this theme works with the fanfic module as I find with other themes the plugin puts the right sidebar under neath it, with this theme it works, I just want to remove the slightly bar at the top please.
