Import Reviews from CSV File always fails.
Even trying to import the original template file always produces this error: “The uploaded file is not a valid CSV file”.

I’m using your plugin on a multisite. Could this be the cause?

    Thanks for providing additional information.

This issue is probably caused by settings of your WordPress Multisite installation. You need to enable upload of CSV files there. Please check this solution for more details: https://cusrev.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/43000042294-import-of-reviews-fails-on-wordpress-multisite.

    I hope it helps!

    Problem persists.
I’m also using other plugins to successfully import data through csv files.
    Any other idea?

Apparently, the other plugins for import of CSV files that you mentioned don’t use the standard WordPress library for upload. This way they bypass the standard checks of file type restrictions that you can specify in the settings of WordPress. This is not the best practice in creating plugins.

If the issue is still not resolved, can you please:

    1) Share a screenshot of your settings page related to file uploads
    2) Check if you have any security-related plugins installed?
    3) Check if you have any custom code in your functions.php that can potentially restrict uploads?

    Update:

Problem solved with the help of the ivole support team.
    Thank you guys!

Cause: “CSV” was not added to Settings -> Media -> MIME Types, which according to the support was restricted by the “Enhanced Media Library” plugin.
