Banner Ads in Dashboard

    Does this plugin insert banner ads on the WP Dashboard? One of our sites never had ads and then the client added this plugin and now we see ads.

    No, we don’t insert any banner ads (or actually anything for that matter) on the dashboard. All of MonsterInsights’s settings and reports are under the Insights menu item.

    You might want to try (if you haven’t already), looking at disabling Chrome/FireFox extensions. Since they utilize Javascript files, which can be pulled remotely, and since those wouldn’t be flagged as a virus or malware by scanners, often times if you see ads being injected into websites, it’s a browser extension.

    An easy way to check this is to log into the site in the Incognito or Private browsing mode of your web browser, since that mode often doesn’t load any of the normal browser extensions.

    That’s not what he’s referring to, since the dashboard widget was released 48 hours ago. Not 1.5 weeks ago.

    For sure – it’s just interesting that you switched from “No, we don’t insert any banner ads (or actually anything for that matter) on the dashboard.” to the current display in such a short time.
